Breda is Joint Managing Director having joined Beardsells as a trainee in 1990 and qualified as a Solicitor in 1991. She has specialised in personal injury work for more than 20 years and is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.

‘Adie’ is a long standing member of our personal injury staff.
Married, with 2 children, his interests are golf and football.
He is an experienced case handler and has been a dedicated member of our team since 1991

Andy Hatton

Andy Hatton – Paralegal

After travelling around the world, Andy joined Beardsells in 1990 and has remained here ever since.
Married, with 3 children, his interests includes music, sports, walking, cycling and reading.
He is an experienced case handler and has been a dedicated member of our team since 1990.

Darrell Halstead

Darrell Halstead, B.A. (Hons); Dip. P.I.Law

Joined us upon qualification in 1994.
When he isn’t fighting aggressively for our clients, he spends time with his wife and daughter, in between pounding miles on the road and in the pool, ready for his regular charity marathons or triathlons.

He gained his Diploma in Personal Injury Law in 1996 and is a senior claims handler and advocate on both fast-track and multi-track cases.

Howard Mansell

Howard Mansell, LLB (Hons)

Howard is a Senior Solicitor who has specialised in personal injury for almost 25 years, having joined the firm in 1988.

He has held membership of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers since 1995, and deals with high-value claims, involving cases of the utmost severity and fatal accidents.

Sara Goddard

Sara Goddard LLB (Hons); Dip. P.I.Law

Joined us upon qualification in 1992 and is one of our senior claims handlers.
When not working, Sara enjoys spending time with her 2 children, cooking and walking.

Shadia Sarwar

Shadia Sawar, LLB (Hons)

Shadia joined us initially as an articled clerk in 1999 and qualified as a solicitor in 2001, gaining a reputation for her high value settlements in complex injury claims.
She is an experienced injury claims lawyer, and a leading member of our team, consistently delivering an impressively high standard on her workload of high value personal injury claims involving major losses.

Nicki Simmons

Nicki Simmons, BA (Hons)

Nicki has been specialising in accident at work and other personal injury claims for the last 20 years since being admitted to the roll as a solicitor. She is pleased to be one of those rare breed that can say she thoroughly enjoys her work.

Nicki joined Beardsells from a Manchester city centre practice approximately 7 years ago and have developed a thriving accident at work department.

In her spare time, she enjoys being with her two children. She is also enjoys various sports, such as going to the gym, swimming and a competitive game of tennis.

Sharon Bennett

Sharon Bennett – Paralegal

Sharon is a member of our paralegal staff. She is married with 2 children.
She joined us in 1987, and, with 25 years of service, is one of our most experienced members of the claims handling team.

Ray Hopkinson

Ray Hopkinson – Litigation Manager

Ray is a member of The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, and is committed to fighting strongly for all victims of injury. He is one of our most senior claims handlers, having joined us in 1988. He deals with major loss and fast-track claims. He had a grounding as an Insurance Company lawyer for 10 years before jumping the fence to join Beardsells, and as his experience dates back 4 decades, is our most experienced member of the team.

Wai Yi Suen

Wai Yi Suen LLB (Hons); Dip. P.I. Lit

Wai Yi is our joint Managing Director.
She joined the firm originally as an articled clerk to the founder, Keith Beardsell and qualified as a solicitor in 1989. She became an equity partner in 1997, and upon the creation of Beardsells LLP in 2011, she became joint Managing Director.
